Rudy's Peter Street Manchester

The original Rudy’s in Ancoats is a very successful independent Neopolitan pizzeria. When recently purchased by Mission Mars, Architectural Emporium were approached to understand and adapt the original restaurant and to design a new restaurant on Peter St in Manchester. AE established a design approach for the company that could be applied to different buildings without it losing or replicating too closely the uniqueness and charm of the original. Rudy’s 02 continues the successful elements established in the original restaurant, but on a larger scale. The interior design works with the existing space and finishes create an affordable, raw and informal space that echos the original Rudy’s. The open kitchen and Neopolitan pizza oven is at the heart of the space, with a bar occupying the rear of the restaurant. Toilets and back of house areas are located on the first floor. A new staircase links the two floors. The restaurant features 100 covers and has proved to be hugely successful.
