Power Corruption and Lies Leeds

Power Corruption and Lies is a bar and restaurant Architectural Emporium designed recently in Leeds. It was formally the legendary Norman, which had experienced a number of refurbishments and lost it’s original identity. AE stripped the space back and worked with the original building to create a paired back interior which was inspired by the Asian food the restaurant creates. The space is light airy and elegant. The design features high level window seating adjacent to the door and dancefloor. A long bar edges the space and becomes an open kitchen animating the space. To the opposite side linear seating and reopened windows create a pleasant environment for eating and drinking. A new side entrance is created next to the DJ booth to utilise the side alley and external space. Globe light fittings are strung across the space with rattan panels concealing the m&e over the bar.
